However, this method typically necessitates an additional 5–10 cycles of PCR amplification. This extra step is far from ideal—it introduces potential amplification errors and increases duplication rates, effectively negating the inherent technical advantages of the MGI system. Furthermore, standard Illumina 8 nt indices often encounter compatibility issues during the transformation and reading process.
